Recently I observed
that the only two times I'd ever posted about conservative commentator Max Boot, it had been by way of noting rather sensible things he'd said (re: global warming and the International Criminal Court). I wondered whether he wasn't veering dangerously close to apostasy.
I needn't have worried. Some of you were no doubt way ahead of me on this; for those who weren't, here's Gavin M.
guesting at the Newsblog, giving us the latest on Boot's tobacco astroturf scandal and Wikipedia tomfoolery (originally reported
by Matt Yglesias).
Unfortunately, one really can't afford to give these people the benefit of the doubt, even when they seem to be talking sensible-like.
