Live from Prey - Blograiser for Craig Johnson
I'm here at Prey, at the fundraiser for Craig Johnson for NYS Senate.
I just spent the weekend with a bunch of conservatives in DC. Man, has tonight been good for my soul. We're lucky to have a Governor like Eliot Spitzer - one who has deliberately chosen to bring progressives into his administration and into the Democratic Party.
He gave us a rousing speech tonight, appealing to the greatness of New York State. "Adequate" is not good enough. When people look at New York, they expect to see the best. But we'll never have that until we get rid of the deadweight in Albany.
Craig Johnson's going to help us do that. Don't forget to donate!
Prey's swinging tonight, and the blogosphere is here with us - it's the blogosphere that really gives tonight its frission. That, and the fact that finally we're seeing a real partnership between the NYS Democratic party and the progressive grassroots/netroots. Now we have to keep coming through - and then, believe me, we'll keep 'em honest.
But we have to get 'em elected.
